Yale F. Edeiken answers:There are several points in the history of the Holocaust which can be characterized as "turning points" The first is Kristallnacht which marks the change of the nazi regime from legal restrictions to actula violence. The second is the invasion of Poland in 1939 which brought about 2-3,000,000 Jews under the control of the Third Reich, A third which you might consider is the invasion of th Soviet Union which was marked by the use of the Eisnatzgruppen, roving bands of riflemen who murdered Jews. This marks the beginning of the systemized murder of Jews.
I hope this gives you some ideas for your project.
